A Registered Australian Charity

Women on the land
need support too.

"Mates at the Gate exists to support rural families."

Women are the ones holding it all together — the farmers, the wives, the mothers, the carers. Working the land, raising the kids, keeping the books, running the households. Often the last to ask for help, and the first to give it. We see them. And we're here for them, too.

A quiet strength

The women behind rural Australia.

Mates at the Gate is proud to support the whole rural family — men, women, and children alike. Our men's initiatives have long been part of the story. But rural women carry an enormous, often invisible load — and they deserve the same steady hand, the same shoulder to lean on, the same reminder that they are not alone.

This is a page for them, and for the people who love them.

What we do

Support

Standing beside rural families through the tough times and the good — whatever the season brings.

Community

Bringing rural men, women and families together through events, retreats, and shared stories.

Mateship

A hand on the shoulder. A gate opened. The reminder that no one out here stands alone.

The Women's Rural Retreat

A gathering of rest, reconnection and real conversation for the women of the land. The next retreat is on hold until we secure grant funding or raise enough to run it — every donation helps bring it back →
